Hensleigh Healthy Beef raises cattle in the open grass, and feeds them only natural feeds – free of growth hormones and antibiotics. They raise traditional beef breeds that are celebrated for their flavor, and slaughter steers at 24 months or younger, to ensure tenderness.

All of their cattle are treated humanely, and vaccinated to avoid illness. Steers that become sick are treated appropriately, with antibiotics if necessary, but sold through an auction, not as Hensleigh Healthy Beef.
