Welcome to Davis Farmers Market! Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

General Information

Q: Where is the Farmers Market located?
A: Davis Central Park, 301 C ST. Davis CA 95616.

Q: What are the market hours and days of operation?
A: The market is open at Davis Central Park, year-round.

Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Wednesdays Winter (September -March): 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesdays Picnic in the Park (April- August): 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Q: When does the market season start and end?
A: Year-Round, Rain or shine. Both Saturday’s and Wednesday’s Satellite markets at Sutter hospitals and UC Davis campus are weather dependent.

Vendors & Products

Q: What types of products can I find at the market?
A: You’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, baked goods, flowers, handmade crafts, and more. Our vendor list changes seasonally; you can check our Sellers Page for more details about specific sellers. Winter Wednesday market is smaller than Picnic in the Park Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Q: Are all the products local and organic?
A: All the products at the market are local to California. Some farms are organic. All organic farms will indicate organic certification on their signage or you can ask the seller directly for more information.  They are very knowledgeable.

Q: How can I see which vendors will be there each week?
A: Due to seasonal changes we do not update sellers’ attendance by week. If you have a question, please ask someone at the Market information shed.

For Shoppers

Q: Is the market pet-friendly?
A: No, the food area of the market is not pet-friendly. However, the grass lawn area is pet friendly. All pets must be on leash during market hours.

Q: Do vendors accept credit/debit cards or only cash?
A: Many vendors accept credit/debit cards. Some vendors only take cash. The market has two ATMs for your convenience; located on the North side of the Information shed. The ATM has a $1.50 service see with all transactions.
If you only have a credit card and need cash you can purchase Red Market Dollars at the Information shed, there is also a $1.50 service fee per transaction.

Q: Is there parking available?
A: Yes, parking is available along C Street and at Davis Joint Unified School District located at 526 B Street. We recommend arriving early for best availability.

Q: Is the market accessible for people with disabilities?
A: Yes, concreate paved park, ramps, and restroom access. For additional questions visit the Information shed.

Q: ATMs?
A: Two ATMs are located on North side of Information shed.

Q: Bathrooms?
A: Bathrooms can be found inside the Bicycle Hall of Fame Museum as well as near 4th St. across form the playground.

Q: Music?
A: Acoustic music is welcome on Saturday and Wednesday markets. Amplified sound is only allowed for music groups participating in Picnic in the Park during the months of April to August.

Q: Picnic in the Park?
A: Picnic in the Park is our summer concert series which takes place every Wednesday from April to August. To apply to play please apply through the Application form - Music

Q: Community Groups?
A: Informational booths are solely for free speech, nonprofits, political causes. No corporate entities will be granted a space. All participating groups must sign Community Group agreement and pay an annual space fee of $20. All groups must follow Market guidelines and comply with City of Davis Ordinance. Groups in this area have the right to exercise free speech.

Vendor Inquires

Q: How do I become a vendor at the market?
A: Apply to be a vendor using the applications on our website. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Only complete applications will be considered.

Q: Next steps after I submit my application?
A: You will receive an acknowledgment email once we receive your application. Understand that it takes time to review applications and we will contact you within 2 weeks with a response.

Q: If I am denied, should I apply again?
A: All applications are added to a waitlist per category. If in the future we are in search of a new seller, we will reference the list of past applicants and reach out to you. If you would like to apply again after an initial application, you are welcome to do so.

Q: What are the vendor fees and requirements?
A: Seller fee is a percentage of total sales per market day, insurance, permits, certificates, and license to sell are all required at time of application.

Q: I do not have all the requirements to apply yet. How would I get more information about markets?
A: Review market rules and guidelines document. Visit us at the Information shed or send an email with your questions.

Special Events & Programs

Q: Do you host any special events or live entertainment?
A: Yes! During summer months we have a special Picnic in the Park series where we have live music every Wednesday evening market. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive details about upcoming events.

Q: Are SNAP/EBT benefits accepted?
A: Yes, we accept SNAP/EBT, the market has a $15 Market Match. When you buy at least 15 tokens we match 15 FREE vouchers good for Fruits and Vegetables.

Q: Where do I get the tokens when I am at the market?
A: Visit the Market information shed to redeem Tokens and for more information.

Q: Does Davis Farmers Market have an EBT/ SNAP match program?
A: Yes, $15 will be matched with vouchers for frits and vegetables one time per customer per market day.

Q: How can I use SNAP/EBT at the market?
A: Once you debit money off your SNAP card and redeem tokens and vouchers you can use these like regular cash with sellers at market. *Tokens and vouchers have limitations on who can accept them, please check in with seller or market staff for more details.

Q: What can tokens be used for?
A: Tokens have the same rules that apply at the grocery store, you can purchase any cold and ready to eat item. Tokens cannot buy hot prepared food, alcohol, flowers, drip coffee or any item that must be prepared by someone for you to eat. They never expire.

Q: What are the Match Vouchers used for?
A: The free vouchers can be used to purchase fruits and vegetables Only. They never expire.

Q: Can I use the tokens and vouchers at other markets?
A: No, only at Davis Farmers Markets- this includes Davis downtown markets as well as Satellite markets, see our Visit page for complete list of locations.

Q: Market Dollars?
A: Market dollars is the markets internal cash; these can be purchased at the Information shed by anyone and are purchased with a Credit or Debit card. Market Dollars are red and can be used with any seller at the market like regular cash. They do not expire.
