Local author Ann M. Evans will be at three upcoming Davis Farmers Markets to sell and sign editions of “The Davis Farmers Market Cookbook.”
Evans will sign books and offer meal-prep tips on the following Saturdays: Nov. 17, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
Patrons can ask Evans about her favorite gifts – straight from the market or made from market products – and suggestions for what to add to market gift baskets. She’ll share her favorite side dish and dessert ideas as well. Cards featuring Evans’ art are complimentary with each book purchased.

The Davis Farmers Market extends its hours on Wednesday, Nov. 21 for its annual Pre-Thanksgiving Market. The market will open from noon to 6 p.m., with seasonal produce, table décor, meats, cheeses, olive oil, honey and wine. Fresh-baked items include gluten-free pumpkin and apple pies, breads, stuffing mix and cupcakes.
For the first four Saturdays in December, the market turns into Gift Basket Central, offering free baskets and wrapping of market items.
