The Davis Farmers Market has a community representative seat (two-year term) open on its board of directors. Community representatives are elected by market association sellers. This is a volunteer seat aimed at people interested in supporting the market and acting as a liaison between consumers who live in the Davis area and the Davis Farmers Market Association. All board members are also required to serve on at least one committee per year.
Director commitments include: attending six board meetings a year; serving on at least one committee per year; attending the Davis Farmers Market annual meeting (held at the end of a Saturday market); and attending board retreats where training, guidance and/or planning for the year will take place.
